Today the 15th of June 2026, the President and Chairman of Council of CILT Nigeria, Boboye Oyeyemi, Ph.D, OFR, mni, NPOM, FCILT, attended and chaired the Official Signing Ceremony of the Concession Agreement for the Smart National Transport Databank (S-NTDB) PPP Project, organised by the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.The landmark project — approved earlier by the Federal Executive Council — is being implemented under a Public-Private Partnership between NITT and Asia Arab Investment Nigeria Ltd and is designed to establish Nigeria’s first integrated, real-time, multimodal transport databank covering road, rail, maritime, aviation, inland waterways, pipeline transportation, and logistics operations nationwide.In his address, the President described the project as a transformational step toward intelligent, technology-driven, and data-enabled transport governance in Nigeria and commended the Federal Government, NITT, and all project partners for the visionary initiative.This historic development further reinforces Nigeria’s commitment to modernizing transport planning, safety, traffic management, security coordination, and evidence-based transport policy.Thank you.National SecretariatChartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Nigeria (CILTN) ...
